Résumé
En étudiant Walter Skinner (The X-Files), cet article explore les formes discrètes de courage dans des organisations bureaucratiques secrètes. Contrairement au héros incarné par Fox Mulder, Skinner agit dans l’ombre, conciliant loyauté envers son institution et responsabilité éthique. Nous identifions trois dimensions du courage ordinaire (lucidité éthique, sollicitude envers son équipe et franchise) faisant de Skinner un « parapluie managérial ».

The X-Files: Walter Skinner, from anti-hero to courageous manager
By studying Walter Skinner (The X-Files), this article explores discreet forms of courage within secret bureaucratic organizations. Unlike the hero embodied by Fox Mulder, Skinner operates in the shadows, balancing loyalty to his institution with ethical responsibility. We identify three dimensions of ordinary courage (ethical lucidity, care for his team, and frankness) making Skinner a “managerial umbrella.”
